“No Alex!” Todd shouted, but it was not enough persuasion to stop the big man from his coalition course with the monster. With all his might he slammed his big axe down on the head of Malicious, leaving the sound of metal meeting metal echoing through the crater. The seven-foot giant looked like a schoolboy compared to the likes of Malicious. Silence fell throughout the crater as Malicious stared Alex in the eyes. His head hadn’t moved an inch from the impact. A chill spread through Alex’s body as the consequences of his poor judgment and bad temper played off in his mind. Before the big Guard could think of making an escape, he was flayed to the ground, after suffering a massive blow from the monster’s tail. With another powerful kick Malicious send him flying, but caught him again in mid air, with his powerful tail. He held the big Guard by his neck, and brought him up to face level. “A Guard?” He said, surprised. His tongue, an alien language. Alex was choking from the tight grip around his neck. It would seem that the giant’s brute strength was even too great for the Guards armour to withstand. The possessed screamed in delight as Malicious swung Alex from side to side, increasing his grip with every move. Suddenly an unsuspecting Malicious was send plummeting threw the air and into the crater wall with a thundering blow from the side. An echoing cry of rage could be heard as the furious warlord emerged from the crater wall with a sudden explosion of soil. When Malicious turned around, he saw Zack standing in front of him. “Go Alex!” Zack ordered when a breathless Alex stood up from the ground, free at last from his nearly fatal encounter. The possessed encircled Zack and their master, expecting a brawl to take place. Infuriated static sprung from the ground as the two likely adversaries stared each other down.

“Come on Zack!” Eva shouted concerned from the Commander’s ship that was hovering over the crater. The Commander decided to come and look for the three Guards after Eva returned by herself with the old man. The possessed were side tracked by the hovering ship and reacted by throwing rocks and objects at the vessel. Malicious looked up at Eva, “It can’t be!” he said amazed, still speaking an alien language. The monster then fixed his attention back onto Zack again. The young Guardian slowly took off towards the ship above, not losing eye contact with the monster down in the crater.

“Till we meet again, Guardian.” The large alien said, as the static from the ground around him died down. Zack just kept staring the creature in the eye, not saying a word, hiding the true fear boggling inside of him. Zack knew that he had to face this demon at some time, in the not too distant future, and this fuelled his fear even more. When he set foot on the ship, he looked down into the crater beneath him.
